A Specialization Course of the Imago Professional Facilitator Training

Fundamentals of Imago Facilitation or Module 1 of the Imago Clinical Training are Pre-Requisites for this Course. This course is also listed as The Relational Self for Therapists.

SCHEDULE: : (Weekly)Thursdays, May 18 - June 29, 2023 1-4pm Eastern

DESCRIPTION: The relationship is of primary importance in working effectively one-on-one with people. This Imago Advanced trainings helps you apply your imago training to facilitation of individuals in whatever setting. Protocols for conducting a first session and for subsequent sessions are demonstrated and practiced. Concepts of how the Missing Self shows up in relational dynamics leading to conflict and tools for working with this are explored and dialogues introduced to help clients reclaim their projections onto others.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will...

1. Identify the missing selves: denied self; lost self; hidden self; disowned self; and presentational self (false self)

2. Explain how self-rejection is developed and how it serves to keep the status quo

3. Facilitate character structure modification

4. Facilitate the "Good-bye Process" in order to disconnect from previous partners

5. Make effective contracts with individual clients

6. Explain how the Imago Dialogue breaks symbiosis and leads to differentiation and empathy

LOCATION: This is an online virtual training presented via Zoom. You will receive login information via email the week of the workshop.

COST: $990 for Facilitator Certification | $700 for Certified Imago Therapists and Facilitators (Please contact Hendrien for discount code)

Note: This course may stand alone or be taken as a pre-requisite for the certification program

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cancel 30 days or more prior to the starting date of the program, your registration fee may be refunded minus a $50 non-refundable finance charge. If you make arrangements to cancel your registration at least 30 days before the start date of the program, you may apply your deposit to the next scheduled program once at no charge. If you cancel within 30 days of the program, or do not show on the scheduled date, your registration fee can be applied to the next available program.

Wendy is a faculty member with the Imago International Training Institute and a clinical professor at Daybreak University in Los Angeles, CA. Wendy has been running groups and trainings for clients and therapists for over 30 years. Her specialties include group therapy, therapist trainings, organizational management, leadership training, supervision with individuals and groups, couples and individual therapy, and workshop presenters trainings.

Sophie is a faculty member and Senior Clinical Instructor at the Imago International Training institute offering professional trainings in Imago Relationship Therapy in Montreal, Canada, London, UK, and around the world. Sophie has worked in private practice for over 30 years, specializing in couples and individuals with relationship challenges and is a member of the Canadian Psychological Society. She is also an Imago Workshop Presenter giving workshops in French and English whenever possible with her husband, David. Her motto is “Have Imago, Will Travel”
